Seed Survivor Mobile Unit

Seed Survivor Mobile toured California again! The two 32-foot mobile classrooms have talking walls, interactive games, a seed-planting station and scavenger hunts. This plant-nutrient learning experience on wheels made its way across the state November 2018 to March 2019 seeing more than 25,000 students!
- Southern: November 1 – December 14
- Central: January 7 – February 15
- Northern: February 18 – March 29
CFAITC partnered with Nutrien to host two truck and trailer units. The program is curriculum-based with interactive learning experiences that teach California K-6 students about growing healthy plants and where their food comes from. The curriculum best fits students in grades 3-5. Students leave with an understanding that plants need water, light, healthy soil and nutrients to survive. After discovering the elements plants need to survive, students plant a sunflower seed to take home and grow!
The last time CFAITC hosted Seed Survivor Mobile on a California tour was in 2015-2016, when two trailers visited 115 schools and six community events, reaching more than 20,000 students.
